| Bio: | Born in Washington, D.C., raised in northern Virginia, USA, earned a Bachelor's in Modern Foreign Languages (German) at James Madison University in Virginia, USA, now studying English and Art Education for General High School (Englisch und Kunst auf Lehramt für Gymnasium und Gesamtschule) at the University of Paderborn in Paderborn, Germany. My nuclear family consists of a mother, father, and brother, all of whom are in good health. A few facts about me: I got roseola when I was a baby, in my younger years I was a nasty sister to my little brother even though he was very nice to me (we are very good friends now), I couldn't ride a bicycle until I was 10 years old, I used to be THE art kid in school (and it was my major entering college, but I soon realized it wasn't a good career choice for me), I won my elementary school Outstanding Art Award twice even though the rules didn't allow, I had excellent friends in elementary school, I ran from home once but returned an hour and a half later while in middle school, I've been through a five year relationship (with a man who was very good to me but it had to end) which I ended very ungracefully and hurt many people in the process. I was seeking myself all throughout high school and continue to do so now. I have since found in myself a vegetarian, environmentalist, cultural relativist, skeptic, and agnostic who is very interested in philosophy, the environment, languages*, religion (especially Buddhism), art, love, happiness, and compassion. There are so many things that I do not understand, but I love to learn. Each night I ask myself if I would die happy if I died in my sleep. If the answer is yes, I know that am trying my best to do what I think is best. That thought, and the love from those I care deeply for (myself included), are the most comforting things in the world.
